Back out the other side

Despite the Covid19 doing it’s best to get us we survived and hopefully out the other side now.

Ticklish Allsorts have now retired, after two years of no work and we are very sorry but we are unable to provide any shows or Punch and Judy at this time. Gary, however, is still available for “calling” at ceilidhs, barn dances and ceili’s, either with a live band or by using recorded music.

Happy New Year NOT!

Covid 19 still dances on which means we cannot.
Mid January 2021, we are in another lockdown so there is no chance yet that Ticklish Allsorts can get back to doing shows or Gary to do barn dances. Many events postponed from last year have also been cancelled for 2021 but all performers live in hope that after mass vacs, we may get back to some normality sometime this year.  We will of course shout it from the rooftops when we can – watch this space!

Keep safe and well.

Gary and Ticklish Allsorts

Happy Christmas 2020

Not much of a happy Christmas coming up due to the beastly Covid19 and like all the artists in the world, Ticklish Allsorts have not been able to work since lockdown 23rd March 2020 as my shows just love the closeness and contact with people – but unfortunately so does the virus!

We are not sure when we can work again, maybe when we have all been vaccinated and have a certificate but I will be working again, with barn dances and singing anyway, as soon as the Government tell me I can!

In the meantime may I wish you all
A very Happy Christmas and a safer New Year.

Ticklish Allsorts, Salisbury’s premium children’s entertainment company, professional since 1981, have a vacancy for a young actor / actress / performer to work part- time on occasional weekends this coming summer.

Our specialty is the Traditional Punch and Judy Show and we require a “front man” who can act a bit, sing a bit, talk to puppets and likes children. This is a good opportunity to experience touring theatre, learn some valuable acting lessons and get well paid as well. It would suit drama students as over the years, I have employed many of them – some now famous – from local theatres and BTEC courses.

Costume, help with transport and training will be given.  Click here for more info

Mayor’s Mad Hatter Party

The Mayor of Wilton, Cllr Trevor Batchelder is having a Mad Hatter’s Ceili Party on guess what day…St Patrick’s Day Friday 17th March at the Michael Herbert Hall, in West Street, Wilton, and he has very wisely, chosen me and Wiltshire Tempest to provide the “Calling” and the music.  It starts at 7.30pm and tickets, which include a two course meal, are £15 each and available from The Bear and Wilton Hardware in Wilton. Or contact me – garynunn@ntlworld.com or 07721 992994. Everyone is being asked to wear at least, a silly decorative hat or any other “Mad Hatters” costumes and there will be good prizes for the best ones. Don’t miss it!

More Christmas singing

If you missed the Christmas Singsong in the Bear on Monday 5th December, (and how could you possible get in the door!) then try the next one on Thursday 22nd December from 8.30pm at The Fox and Goose, Coombe Bissett, Open Mike Night.

FREE event. See you all there.

Christmas Singing

Wilton, near Salisbury in Wiltshire, boasts the tallest living Christmas Tree in Europe, right in the middle of the town in the Market Square. Each year there is a magical ceremony of switching on the lights and this year it will be on Monday 5th December from 5.30pm. See poster.

Afterwards, from about 8.00pm there will be a Christmas sing-along with myself and lots of friends at The Bear in West Street, where half the population come along and sing their hearts out to welcome in Christmas. Free event.
